Software Asset Audit

Auditing the software installations is done automatically and we already provide software legitimacy reports with the software… auditing the software assets that you have (licenses and media) is the only bit that needs to be done manually and will no doubt be the bit that takes the most time for you and is. Consequently, the software asset audit is what we’ll spend the most time on in this white paper.

So far we’ve covered some preliminaries and talked about the data that will be collected by our auditing agents. Here we’ll talk about how to massage the data that was collected by our auditing agents so that we have an accurate model of the software licenses that we own and how these relate to what has been found installed on the PCs we manage.
