This document presumes some knowledge of basic networking equipment and its general application, so you probably need to know what routers, firewalls and switches are.
It also assumes at least some conceptual awareness of how IP networks work, so you should be fairly familiar with IP addresses, web servers and the significance of ports on an IP network.
If you don't know what MSSQL Server is then it wouldn't hurt to know a little bit about that either. You don't need to know how to write SQL, but it might be good to understand that this is a database server and generally what that means.
