So now we've discussed how to get EntAudit.exe to a machine and audit the machine regularly using this tool. The next challenge is to do something useful with the information that EntAudit.exe collects which means getting the results of the audit back into our central IT Asset repository (the Inventory modules on our Enterprise Server).
Now if you were to run EntAudit.exe from the command line with the /? switch then you would see that the tool can be configured to do one of two things with the information that it collects once it has finished auditing a machine: save these to disk or email them.
One possibility then would be to configure EntAudit.exe to write the results of the machine audit to a file somewhere on your network file system (where it could be retrieved by either a technician or by ENT Network Monitor which we'll discuss shortly).
Alternatively, as mentioned above, you can have EntAudit.exe automatically email these results to one of the IT Staff, who can then add them to your IT Repository using ENT NetCenter.
