OK, if you've read everything up until now then you should have a fair idea of technically what each of the auditing agents can do and what sort of situations it can be used in, so you could probably piece together a solution to audit all of the computers and software that you manage.
However, a couple of examples wouldn't hurt so we'll take the opportunity in these last sections on Performance and Security to demonstrate how all of the various components of Enterprise Server can work together to make a complete solution for managing your organization's IT Assets.
In section 8.1, the examples we give will demonstrate how you can deploy the Enterprise Server components to minimize resource usage and the impact on end-users, of any network auditing solutions that you implement.
In section 8.2 we will identify key aspects of any network auditing solution that require special attention with regard to security and show you how to minimize or eliminate any security risks when implementing an auditing solution for the network(s) in your Enterprise.
