Software Details

From the Software Licensing area of ENT NetCenter, You can view or modify the details for any of the products that you have defined by double clicking on the product that you want to edit in the Software grid. This will open the Software Details window where you can view and modify the details of the software product, configure the media and licenses that you hold for that product or make a record of any software contracts that you have for the software product.

Once you have finished making any changes to the software, simply click on the Save and Close button.

You can use the view navbar on the left of the window to view the different pages of the software details. The Product page is used to record the details of the software product itself. The Media and Licensing page lets you record any physical media or software licenses that you own for the product and the Maintenance Contacts page lets you keep track of any software maintenance contracts that you have for the software.

Product	The name of the software product
Track Licensing	Indicates whether you want to include the product in software legitimacy and license analysis reports. See the Tracking software licensing topic for details.
Publisher	The name of the software publisher. You can either select a publisher from the drop down menu (which will show any organizations from the contacts area of ENT NetCenter that have been marked as publishers) or you can type in the name of a publisher manually.
Version	The version number of the software product.
Platform	The platform that the software was designed to run on (for example, Linux or Windows).
Notes	Any additional notes that you want to keep on the software product

NOTE: During the audit process ENT Net Center will automatically add software publishers into the contacts area of your inventory. A software publisher is simply an organization contact that has been marked as publishers.
