Networks overview

The Networks area of ENT NetCenter provides you with an overview of all of the networks that you manage. A network, in ENT NetCenter, is a logical group of machines. Typically, each of the networks that you define in ENT NetCenter will correspond to a single domain or workgroup that you manage.

Once you have defined a network, you can use ENT NetCenter to discover what machines exist on the network as well as the hardware and software installed on each of these machines.

You can access the Networks Area from the main window in ENT NetCenter by clicking on the Networks icon on the view navbar.

At first, you won't have any networks defined, so probably one of the first things you'll want to do is add a network to audit. by clicking on the New Network button. If you already have a network defined then you can add individual machines to the network by clicking on the New Machine button. Alternatively, clicking on the Scan Network button allows you to scan the entire network for new machines or changes to existing machines.

You can check a single machine or a group of machines for any problems or changes, by selecting the machines you want to audit and clicking on the Audit button. Finally, the Disconnect button allows you to remove machines from the network.
