Since ENT Network Monitor runs as an NT Service application, it's difficult to give
you a feel for how it works or how it's used with simple screenshots. The GUI portion
of the application is simply used to configure the network monitor - the real grunt
work takes place behind the scenes.
As such, you may want to take a look at the how does it work section for a more detailed description of how you would implement the software on your network. None the less, the following screenshots should demonstrate how you can configure each network monitor that you install on the networks that you manage. General Network Monitor configuration The general configuration page of the GUI is where you configure what to monitor and how often the network monitor should check for faults or changes to the equipment and software on the network.
Time Restrictions The Restrictions page of the configuration utility lets you define when ENT Network Monitor should conduct audits of the equipment and software on your network so that you can be sure audits occur
Monitor Log Options The View Log page of the GUI lets you view the Log files for ENT Network Monitor, clear the information in the Log and configure a maximum size for these.
