ENT Network Monitor: Discover, Inventory, Monitor, Notify
Imagine having a dedicated IT professional stationed on each of your networks, scanning the network on a regular basis and reporting back to you when any faults or changes were discovered. That's the Network Monitor in a nutshell.

Be informed about the equipment you manage and deal with faults and changes before they affect your users - whether they're accross the hall or across the ocean!

Scheduled Audits
Schedule audits to take place at regular intervals. Restrict audits to occur only during certain hours or on certain days of the week to ensure network audits take place when you want.

Audit Network PCs
Deploy a single Network Monitor on each network you manage and then audit any other machines on that network remotely, without needing to install any software on the remote machines.
Manage Satellite Offices
Have ENT Network Monitor watch over equipment and software at remote sites that you manage, reporting information back to your central Enterprise Server.

Collect Audit Snapshots
Collect audit snapshot files that are generated by the ENT command line auditing utility and automatically post these to your Inventory.
Monitor WAN Networks
Communication with your ENT Server takes place over HTTP and all traffic is highly compressed, (only around 3 Kb of information is passed for each machine you audit). Save network bandwidth and monitor machines over slow network connections.

Use with Firewalls
Use Network Monitor to audit machines machines that don't have an address that you can use to connect to them, such as those using NAT. Manage hardware and software behind firewalls or routers without opening ports or adding security risks.
Track Disconnected Machines
Audit non-networked machines in logon/startup scripts and email the results. Have ENT Network Monitor check any POP mail box for audit snapshot files, post these to your inventory raise alerts even for disconnected machines.
