' Error inspecting devices ' is one of the possible status values that a machine can have after running a machine audit or a network scan.
This error is likely caused by a corrupted WMI repository and certain customers have been able to resolve this simply by reseting WMI, as described in our knowledge base article http://www.microforge.net/kb/102 .
However this has not worked in all cases - in some cases a complete OS reinstall was required. We have worked around this problem in the 1.3 release of ENT Server so you could simply download/install ENT Server 1.3.12 (or later) and ignore the problem.
If you wish to fix the problem then you should be aware that this is a problem with the Microsoft Operating System (not with our software) and you will have to open a support case with Microsoft in order to seek a resolution.
