Can I upgrade from the Super Suite 3.0 products to Enterprise Server?

We released Enterprise Server 1.0 on Thursday the 1st of July and have sent out emails to all of our current customers, including details on how to upgrade and (where relevant) upgrade prices. If you didn't receive these, please contact support@microforge.net with the details of your current license of the software. The following briefly explains what's going on:

Enterprise Server is a new product that we've written from the ground up, to replace Network Auditor and Super Suite and we've completely redesigned a number of aspects of the software. In particular, the new software can colllect much more information remotely, and is designed to handle much more data (Super Suite was really only practical for organizations with less than 500-1000 PCs - the new software is capable of handling 10s of thousands of machines without any significant impact on performance). Additionally, we've extended the servicing area to be a serparate helpdesk module, which could be used independently of the inventory capabilities of the software.

Enterprise Server will form the basis of all our future offerings and will eventually replace Network Inventory Manager as well. Currently we are still selling Network Inventory Manager and Report Forge, because there are a couple of features in NIM 3.0 that we still haven't implemented in Enterprise Server (such as templates and the ability to use the software without having an SQL or MSDE Server). However, we will be implementing these in Enterprise Server as soon as possible and eventually the Desktop Edition of Enterprise Server will be replacing Network Inventory Manager and Report Forge.

For customers who are interested in auditing the machines on their network automatically, Enterprise Server is already a far superior solution to that offered by Network Auditor 3.0 or Super Suite 3.0, so there are already some very compelling reasons to upgrade and upgrade prices are available to all users who purchase any of the Super Suite 3.0 products before July 1st 2004.
