'PNP Devices enum error' is one of the possible network status code that could be returned when conducting machine audits or network scans. To our knowledge, this error is not particularly common and has been reported by customers trying to audit Dell Optiplex GX270 and Precision 670 computers only.
This error is likely caused by a corrupted WMI repository and certain customers have been able to resolve this simply by reseting WMI, as described in our knowledge base article http://www.microforge.net/kb/102 . However this has not worked in all cases - in some cases a complete OS reinstall was required.
The fact that an OS reinstall will resolve the issue certainly indicates that it is software related (not hardware related) and we are currently in the process of communicating with Dell technical support in order to try to identify exactly which software component or combination of software components might be responsible for the problem.
